This is for the pre-order of one of the three “Colours” design, and are currently available in orange, purple and blue (subject to availability).
The host board can be made up to your order – the gain and filter ranges can be changed to make them wider or narrower, and the overall sound can be made softer or brighter, by changing final components. Please specify with your order if you require anything other than the default settings.
The TODP is only available in the UK / EU, as a “kit”, where you fit the overdrive, distortion and op-amp yourself (a very simple completion process, where you push-fit the boards on with headers). These are only currently available with a non-military spec 37b mixer tube.

The TODP (Tube Overdrive Distortion Plus) is a veritable toolkit of overdrive and distortion, which can give you a huge range of breakup from a soft tube clip, to full-on metal or punk distortion, with all kinds or blues and rock options in the middle. *
There are pre-cut and post-boost options for the low end, which can be used together to give a more mid oriented break up in the tube. The high end can be tamed with passive Filter control pot.
All 6 settings utilise the tube device, with increasingly more noticeable tube effect, as you go from germanium to ABN:
- 3x “hard clipping” diode distortion settings: 70s / germanium, 80s / silicon and 90s / LED
- 3x tube (valve) overdrive settings: AB2 – where you can hear the 2x silicon diodes affect the break up, AB4 – where the 4x silicon diodes are largely inaudible, or ABN – where the compression is controlled in a classic 50s / 60s way
The Soviet era thermionic valve / tube and germanium diodes in the kit have not been RoHS tested and certified, and hence do not meet EU RoHS 1. Parts do not fall under the scope within the relevant act in the UK, the EU, New York State, or California. If you are unsure about whether this product is allowed in your country or state, please contact us before ordering, as we will not be held responsible for compliance once the pedal has been dispatched. The host board is 100% compliant, and we are in the process of making compliant plug-in / daughter boards.
* amount of distortion and overdrive will depend on many factors, including gain range of pedal, guitar setup, and pick-up types. The gain assignment for this release is Mid-Range (500K). The range of these offers a balance between a more “transparent” overdrive at lower gains, and giving better control of the gain. Four of the modes create distortion mainly by overdriving a thermionic rod type valve (or tube). The filter range will be set to Wide, and the input cap to Mid.
