Beyond the core clipping options, the Pro-Modular TODP unlocks a universe of distortion possibilities with its daughter boards, also compatible with “Experiments in Distortion”. These boards let you delve into the nuances of clipping diodes, offering a high level of customization rivalled in the pedal world. Craft your perfect distortion by exploring different characteristics, and discovering the perfect sound for your playing style.

These boards will come with 5mm Red LEDs, 1N4148 Silicon diodes and a header connector.

If you can do a bit of soldering – why not buy a kit or a few, and buy a range of germanium diodes from elsewhere to experiment with? In this case order a part built, or full un-built kit form.

Options are:

• Germanium vs. Schottky: Experiment with the subtle compression and warmth of germanium diodes (D9A, D9L, D9K) or the faster response of Schottky diodes (BAT85). Only the BAT85 will be RoHS compliant. 

• Built or Kit form: we will build the board up for you!

These boards are designed for the TODP, and can be used with a range of projects, including the Real Tube Experiment Board Dev Kit, for the serious experimenter.
